Recently, Huadian Group issued a tender announcement for the feasibility study and preliminary technical services of the 550MW offshore wind power project in the K zone of Changle offshore area.

The announcement shows that the 550MW offshore wind power project in the K area of Changle is located in the eastern sea area of Songxia Town, Changle, Fujian, with a planned capacity of 550MW.

Scope of bidding: Feasibility study and preliminary technical services for 550000 kW offshore wind power in K zone of Changle offshore, Fujian Huadian (see bidding documents for details).

Bidding procurement project duration: The plan is to meet the approval conditions before July 1, 2024, with a total duration of approximately 12 months.

Recently, Changle, Fujian has initiated preliminary bidding for multiple offshore wind power projects, including the 650000 kilowatt offshore wind power project in Zone J of Changle offshore, the 300 MW offshore wind power project in Zone I (south) of Changle offshore, and the 100 MW offshore wind power project in Zone B (adjusted) of Changle offshore. The above projects are all the first batch of offshore wind power market competition configuration projects in Fujian Province in 2023, and they are planned to obtain approval/meet the approval conditions this year.

On July 17, 2023, the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission released a public announcement on the results of the first batch of market-oriented competition allocation for offshore wind power in Fujian Province in 2023.

The competitive configuration projects include 100000 kilowatts in Changle B area (adjusted), 300000 kilowatts in Changle Outer Sea I area (south), 650000 kilowatts in Changle Outer Sea J area, 550000 kilowatts in Changle Outer Sea K area, and 400000 kilowatts in Putian Meizhou Bay outer sea, with a total of 5 sites and 2 million kilowatts.

According to the "Announcement", according to the competition configuration rules and after comprehensive evaluation by experts, the competition results are as follows:

1. Changle B Area (Adjustment) Project (100000 kW): China Huadian Corporation Limited

2. Changle Outer Sea Zone I (South) Project (300000 kW): Joint venture between Fujian Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. and State Investment Power Holdings Co., Ltd

3. Changle Offshore J Zone Project (650000 kW): Fujian Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd;

4. Changle Offshore K Zone Project (550000 kW): Fujian Funeng Co., Ltd. and Yangtze Three Gorges Group Fujian Energy Investment Co., Ltd. Joint Venture

5. Putian Meizhou Bay Offshore Project (400000 kW): a joint venture between Fujian Funeng Co., Ltd. and Yangtze Three Gorges Group Fujian Energy Investment Co., Ltd.
