On September 16th, Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd. Anhui Wind Power Branch and Inner Mongolia Jinhai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Jinhai Co., Ltd.") signed a wind power project construction cooperation agreement in Hefei, Anhui. Qiu Xianjia, General Manager of Huaneng Anhui Wind Power Branch, and Huang Zhangyu, General Manager of Jiangsu Jinhai Wind Power Tower Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jinhai Group, respectively signed cooperation agreements on behalf of both parties.

Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd. Anhui Wind Power Branch (referred to as Wind Power Branch) was established in April 2014, mainly responsible for the development, construction, operation, and management of wind resources by Huaneng Group in Anhui Province. As of December 31, 2020, the installed operating power generation capacity is 374000 kilowatts. Huaneng Group is an important state-owned backbone enterprise approved by the State Council. By the end of 2020, its wholly-owned and controlling power plants had an installed capacity of over 195 million kilowatts, a coal production capacity of 77.6 million tons per year, and ranked 266th among the Fortune Global 500.

At the symposium, both sides reached a broad consensus on deep cooperation in the wind power base project in Mengcheng County, Bozhou City. At the same time, both sides will cooperate on the development of new energy projects in other regions of Anhui Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period, keep up with the pace of the national "dual carbon" policy, help the country achieve the vision of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, provide strategic support for market expansion of both sides, and achieve win-win cooperation.
